Speakers:


Beatriz Herrero-Cortina is a respiratory physiotherapist and lecturer at Universidad San Jorge and collaborates with the PRES Group at the Health Research Institute of Aragón, Spain. Her research focuses on airway clearance techniques for muco-obstructive lung diseases (especially bronchiectasis), with particular interest in how to implement and promote long-term adherence to physiotherapy interventions.


Michelle MacDonald, MS, RDN, CDE has worked as a clinical dietitian and certified diabetes educator at National Jewish Health in Denver, USA. She has provided nutritional care for adult patients with a variety of chronic conditions, including interstitial lung disease and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) disease, and worked closely with multidisciplinary specialty clinics.


Jennie Keane is a TB & NTM Clinical Nurse Specialist at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, UK. She is experienced in managing adult patients with NTM disease and TB and leads the Nursing Interest Group of the NTM Network UK, which provides support and education across the nursing network.  


Chairs:


Natalie Lorent is a Pulmonologist/Clinical Infectiologist with a passion for mycobacterial infections. Her clinical work and research focus on improving diagnosis and care for patients affected by TB/NTM. She has extensive experience in managing TB(HIV) in low-resource settings in Africa and Asia and is currently working at the University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium. Within the TBnet steering committee, she represents NTMnet.


Arthur Lemson is a pulmonologist in training and PhD-candidate with a focus on mycobacterial mycobacterial diseases. His research focusses on host susceptibility and treatment optimization in patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease. By actively contributing to NTMnet, he has helped setting up international research initiatives for patients with NTM disease.
